Ryanair have cheap flights from Stanstead to Tours, Nantes or Poitiers, from Liverpool and Stanstead to Limoges, from East Midlands to Nantes, and from Dublin to Tours. You can either be picked up at the airport or hire a car quite cheaply.

Easyjet, Flybe Eastern Airways and BMIBaby also fly from and to various destinations in France. Angers, Paris, Limoges, Rennes, La Rochelle and Bordeaux are all within a few hours drive.
