Amboise a few miles the other side of Tours is a very large and very diverse castle with lots to see. Near to Amboise is the Pagoda at Chanteloup and Clos Luce, where Leonardo da Vinci lived for the last 3 years of his life and where there are many hands on replicas of his inventions. Amboise is just over an hour from here
